Our Story

The Keystone Streams team is passionate about water quality. Our water should be drinkable, fishable, and swimmable.

Unfortunately, most major waterbodies in America do not meet these water quality standards.

Planting Riparian Forest Buffers and upland reforestation are two of the most effective ways to improve water quality. These projects are planted all at once, then pay significant dividends over time.

Keystone Streams has partnered with landowners, local governments, and interstate agencies throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed to plant approximately 170 acres of new trees alongside waterways to improve water quality and provide a new revenue stream for landowners.

“From overturning stones in the creeks of Virginia looking for crayfish to fishing in the Chesapeake Bay with my father, I have always cherished my time spent in the outdoors. I have chosen to focus my career on protecting, conserving, and enhancing our natural places. As the grandson of a Virginia farmer, I am determined to find a way to help the farming community while improving water quality in the Bay States.”
