Your Land, Your Legacy

Keystone Streams understands your land is productive and valuable. We pay landowning farmers to plant trees and riparian forest buffers on your property. We manage the entire process – with input from you along the way – and handle long-term maintenance, transforming acreage not in active use into a source of revenue.

What landowners get:

  • Fair compensation. We purchase a conservation easement that will generate revenue for the farm while protecting it for future generations.

  • Built in planting and maintenance. Our team plants native trees and shrubs and maintains the vegetation afterward - including invasive species removal - so there's no added work on your end,

  • Freedom from paperwork. Your time is valuable. Keystone Streams manages all of the paperwork and reporting required to establish the easement and the buffer / forest.

  • It's still your land. An easement protects the buffer area, but the land stays private and remains suitable for hunting and fishing.

  • Potential property tax benefits. Placing land into a conservation easement can potentially reduce your property tax burden, depending on your county and state.

  • A lasting legacy. The forest starts small and grows, with our team providing ongoing maintenance. Buffers and forests can also be planted in memory or honor of a loved one.
